CO-FOUNDER AND FORMER LEAD SINGER OF PAUL REVERE & THE RAIDERS
In addition to being THE VOICE on all the hits of Paul Revere & The Raiders, MARK LINDSAY, with his good looks and ponytail, was the very image of the band. From 1965-1967, The Raiders were the featured performers of “Where The Action Is”, Dick Clark’s immensely popular 5-day a week ABC TV music show, and Mark Lindsay went on to make a record 720 network TV appearances with his band and as a solo performer. The Raiders owned the 1960’s and 70’s charts with hits like “Kicks”, “Hungry”, “Good Thing”, “Let Me’, and the biggest-selling single to that date for CBS Records, “Indian Reservation,” which sold 6 million copies. While still with The Raiders, Mark also had a very successful solo recording career with a pair of top 40 hits “Arizona” and “Silver Bird” as well as 3 best-selling albums. Mark Lindsay has sold over 50 million records.
Quentin Tarantino used FOUR of Mark Lindsay’s songs in his newest blockbuster movie, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and also included vintage footage of Mark singing “Mr Sun. Mr Moon” in a clip from the Happening TV show he hosted in 1968-69.
