Detroit native; Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist, and Producer Ray Parker Jr. started out at 13 in the legendary Motown studios then continued his professional career at 18 as a member of Stevie Wonder's band! Ray moved on, creating his own band "Raydio" and then continued his chart topping career as a solo artist. He has had 24 Billboard Top 40 and R&B hits and has penned an impressive catalog of songs that have been recorded by Rufus and Chaka Khan, Barry White, Love Unlimited Orchestra, Herbie Hancock, Nancy Wilson, Patty Labelle, The New Edition, Diana Ross, Cheryl Lynn, Brick, Teddy Pendergrass, Leo Sayer and Coolio.
